Something really Cool to think about?

Kathleen G asked:

How about going through life backwards?

You’d start out dead and get it out of the way.

Then, wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.

You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, you’re generally promiscuous and you get ready for High School.

You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, and then…

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions; central heating, room service on tap, and then, you finish off as an orgasm.

I rest my case.

Are people actually watching these shows?

Now I know people always say “If you don’t like it here, then leave.” But I do like it here and I think its okay to complain when something is making your country worse. That being said, All these shows that are coming out on VH1 and MTV and even local channels like CW, the ones about what a rich persons life is like, why are people watching them? I see commercials for them no matter what channel I’m watching, and I can’t believe we’ve become a society who spends time watching this crap. Here’s a few you might know: Gossip girl, Privileged, Denise Richards Show, I love New York, I love Money, I love this and that and bull crap, and a million other shows that really require no talent or anything to be the star of. We really have to raise our standards, seriously. I mean do you realize that at a time when people are getting laid off, and banks are closing, everyone I know is trying to save money, and our economy is completely whacked, Brittany Spears little sister is getting paid $1,000,000 to let a magazine take a picture of her kid. She became a millionaire for having a BABY!!!! Meanwhile, the rest of us work as hard as we can, in jobs we can never get ahead in, and remain underpaid, when all we would have done to become rich is be born into a rich family. I mean the girls from that show the Hills or the Laguna Beach show, what the hell did they do?? What were they good at? Anything? No! Their parents were just rich, that’s all, and thanks to that, they get there own show on MTV and get the luxury of not ever having to worry about things like rent, groceries, health insurance. Yea America is a great place to live, but it would be immeasurably better if not for the horrible people in it.

I go to a private university in Chicago. Here dorms (especially apartment-style) are much more expensive that off-campus housing, even when comparting luxury apartments with many amenities included. I use rent.com, apartments.com and roomates.com website. I am not sure whether I should look for a studio for myself, or for another roomate who has a spare space which gives me at same cost living room, own bedroom and a company ;) What are advantages and disadvantages between two? Would you consider looking for apart or rather a roomate who has a place.

Besides currently I live in dorms and hate it. my roomate sits in our room 24/7 h except when he goes to classes 2 times a week. He once watched me sleep! He watches animes! He is weird. In addition he types on his keyboard very nosily all the time. Thats why it drives me little bit a nut. How would you cope with that if you were in my situation?
what other websites to use?

Would you join this party?

Do you think it’s wrong for a husband and wife to sleep in separate bedrooms?

Friday, January 18th, 2008
silver star asked:

we lie down together, watch TV, and do out “stuff”, but … as soon as he starts snoring I go to my bedroom. I really like this “luxury” because my bedroom furniture is very nice and comfy. Also, every time he gets up to go to the bathroom - I wake up. I really get the best sleep alone. However, when people (relatives & friends) visit they assume it’s a guest room and I explain to them that it’s my bedroom but I alsways get this “bewildered” look. Why do they think it’s wrong?
to dba_gregg
yes, you are very correct, however, I have an incredible view from my room, so not too much resentment in this case.
p.s. I’ve been married for 15 years
p.s. my husbands bedroom has a California King bed and I have Queen.

Do you think this is good so far?

How did you feel when Head left the band. At first I was a little pissed, but after everything came out I understood. I have heard some of his songs from is album coming out Sept 9. Not to bad. I did however find it f*** up that KoRn made two songs on their last album trashing him,(love and luxury/Ever be). Here is one of Brian Welch(head) new songs.

Is it wrong the way television and media portray the huge spending of rich celebreties as glamorous?

Saturday, January 5th, 2008
drathmanner asked:

I really get sick when I watch these television shows that are dedicated entirely to glamourising the outrages amounts of money some celebrities spend on material possessions such as cars, clothes, houses etc. We live in a world where people starve because they cant afford food and millions remain uneducated because they dont have schools or cant afford them and millions are sick from illness because they cant afford treatment. Yet channels like MTV work hard to give the image that it is ok and even glamerous for rich celebrities to spend huge amounts of money on more luxury than any person would ever need. I HATE IT! Its just another completely immoral and ignorant part of western society. And people dont realise that it is done with the very deliberate and planned purpose of making millions of ignorant viewers feel they must also go out and buy expensive brand name clothes in order to feel good about themselves. Its all just a big advertisment. Who else sees we all need to WAKE UP!!
